Pre and Post Natal Training

The female body goes through many physical changes during pregnancy, from weight gain to compromised joints, to muscles in the body being strained and stretched. If you were training before becoming pregnant then there is absolutely no reason why you should stop now, in fact there is plenty of evidence out there that supports being active and taking part in controlled training sessions as a benefit for mum to be.

During Pregnancy
Every trimester will present its own different challenges to your body, so what we offer at 1080 Fitness is a tailored training programme supported by a personalised eating plan to fit any stage of your pregnancy. As your body changes so will the programme design, it will be adapted to meet all of the new physiological changes your body will go through during the different trimesters of pregnancy.

Postpartum
Now that your baby is born it’s all about recovery, once your doctor or consultant has given the all clear to commence with training, we can start again as soon as an initial consultation takes place with us, this is to plan the next steps in reclaiming your pre pregnancy body. All areas will be addressed and catered for in the training programme, from exercise prescription to nutritional planning and discussing any possible postpartum issues.
